Papaellina Begins Contacts Regarding Disability Legislation

Contacts to promote disability legislation are expected this week, with the Deputy Minister of Social Welfare, Klea Papaellina, beginning meetings with organizations. The goal is to approve the legislation before the dissolution of Parliament in April.
According to REPORTER sources, the first meeting will be held with the Social Alliance of Citizens (OSAK, KYSOA, Third Age Observatory). At the same time, a response is pending from the President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulidis, to a request for a meeting from the organizations.
The legislation aims to upgrade social services and benefits for people with disabilities, in accordance with the UN Convention and National Strategies.
