53 Cypriots Depart Iran/Israel, 3000 Travelers in Cyprus

A total of 53 Cypriot citizens who were in Israel and Iran have departed from those countries, with the majority repatriating to Cyprus, according to an announcement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs regarding the evacuation of third-country citizens through the National Plan 'ESTIA'.
As stated in the announcement, within the framework of the activation of the National Plan 'ESTIA', France completed the planning of evacuation flights carried out this week, with seven flights departing from Israel, transporting 395 third-country citizens. The total number of people assisted in their departure through the National Plan 'ESTIA' amounted to 608. Also, with assisted special commercial flights, another 296 third-country citizens departed to be repatriated.
It is also noted that more than 3,000 citizens were temporarily in Cyprus during this period due to the diversion of their flights, until they reached their final destinations.
