Cyprus: UK Sends Destroyer and Helicopters

Keir Starmer announced the deployment of the HMS Dragon destroyer and helicopters with drone countermeasures to Cyprus. This move follows similar decisions by Greece and France.

Starmer stated that the deployment is part of the UK's efforts to strengthen its defense operations. "We will always act in the interest of the United Kingdom and our allies," he added.

This decision follows the dispatch of three frigates from Greece and France to defend Cyprus, which hosts two British bases of strategic importance to London.

HMS Dragon Features: The HMS Dragon is the fourth Type 45 air defense destroyer. It has a crew of over 200 members.
