Cyprus Passports: Citizenship Revoked from 150 People

The Government announced the revocation of Cypriot citizenship from 150 individuals who had been naturalized through the Cyprus Investment Programme.
A total of 41 decisions have been made since 2023, demonstrating the will to restore the country's reputation. The Council of Ministers approved six proposals to deprive 28 people of their citizenship.
Since 2021, citizenships have been revoked from 360 people (101 investors and 259 family members). The government is finalizing changes to the legislation on the Population Archive, in cooperation with the Legal Service, to enhance transparency and avoid practices that have damaged Cyprus' image.
