Cyprus Government Continues Efforts to Release 5 Greek Cypriots

The Cypriot Government is continuing its efforts to secure the release of five Greek Cypriots detained in the occupied territories. In a statement, the Presidential Palace said that complaints have been made to the UN Secretary-General, European Union institutions, and permanent members of the Security Council.
The Presidency condemned the decision of the occupation regime's "military court," calling it a contempt for international law by Turkey and its subordinate regime. It is noted that this action aims to intimidate Greek Cypriots visiting their properties in the occupied territories or applying to the compensation committee.
The Government states that it will continue to intensify efforts to immediately end the illegal detention of the Greek Cypriots.
