The Cyprus issue returns to the agenda with preparations for the informal five-party meeting in July in New York. María Ángela Olguín's visits to London and Brussels, and the meeting of the National Council in Nicosia are central.

Olguín will meet with Stephen Doughty in London, and with António Costa and Johannes Hahn in Brussels. The aim is to gather opinions and coordinate efforts.

On Thursday, July 3, 2025, the National Council will convene, where President Christodoulides will provide updates on developments and preparations for the meeting in New York. Nicosia seeks a resumption of substantive negotiations.

Additionally, the upcoming 'elections' in the occupied territories are being taken into account in planning the next steps.
