Cyprus Parliament: Referrals and Migration on the Agenda

The Plenary of the House convenes on Thursday, April 23, with an agenda including three law referrals, the bill on harmonizing Cypriot legislation with the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum, and draft laws on regulations concerning parliamentary associates.
The referrals concern the Law on the Promotion and Encouragement of the Use of Renewable Energy Sources and the Law on Elementary Education.
The bill on the Refugee Law aims to fully harmonize the Republic of Cyprus with the new European Pact on Migration and Asylum before its entry into force in June 2026.
In addition, draft laws will be discussed for amendments to the Law on Aliens and Immigration, as well as four draft laws for amendments to the Law on Parliamentary Associates and Related Matters.
