Lacroix: Looking Forward to Progress in Cyprus Talks

UN Assistant Secretary-General for Peacekeeping Operations, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, expressed hope for further progress in the Cyprus talks. In an interview with the Cyprus News Agency (CNA) and other European media in Brussels, Mr. Lacroix noted that despite cuts to the UN, UNFICYP will continue to carry out its work.

Asked about developments following the elections in the Turkish Cypriot community, Lacroix appeared optimistic about the momentum that has developed, emphasizing the high level of commitment from the UN.
