Tensions are high between the Minister of Justice, Konstantinos Fytiris, and the President of the ISOTITA union, Nikos Loizidis, following the latter's statements about threats of 'beheading'.

Speaking on the show ENIMEROSI TORA, Mr. Loizidis responded to Mr. Fytiris' statement, noting that he served 14 years on the front lines and felt he was personally attacked by the Minister.

Mr. Loizidis claimed that the threats concerned his union activity and the voice of the police officers he represents. 'I don't want to continue the personal attack that was made against me... What matters is the public interest,' he emphasized.

He also referred to the meetings of the ISOTITA union with the Minister of Justice, stressing that they have no differences in the way organized crime is dealt with, but in the labor rights of police officers.

Regarding the threats of beheading, Mr. Loizidis noted that he was threatened in his capacity in the ISOTITA union and not as a person.

Regarding the Minister's announcements, he pointed out that ISOTITA had proposed 80% of them, adding that they are particularly concerned about the creation of an extortion department and the issue of audio recordings.

Finally, regarding corruption issues in the Police, he said that there are 4 services to control the police officers, making it difficult to hide corrupt individuals.
