M. Voridis Emails ND MPs to Refute Varras' Claims

Makis Voridis sent an email to ND MPs, attempting to refute Grigoris Varras' allegations regarding the OPEKEPE case. In the briefing note, Mr. Voridis claims that the 'technical solution' has been applied since 2015 and that Mr. Varras himself implemented it in 2020 as president of OPEKEPE.

The former minister disputes Mr. Varras' claims of 'illegal interventions' and 'representation of interests,' stating that his decisions were made with legality and public interest in mind. Furthermore, he states that the government did not attribute any responsibility to him, leaving the case to the Investigative Committee.

Mr. Voridis warns that he will refer extensively to the Investigative Committee regarding the reasons he requested Mr. Varras' resignation in 2020.
