M. Charakopoulos Nominated for ND Secretary General Post

Maximos Charakopoulos has been nominated by Kyriakos Mitsotakis for the position of Secretary General of the New Democracy Parliamentary Group. The election will take place on September 19.

The nomination follows the sudden death of Apostolos Vesyropoulos, who previously held the position.

M. Charakopoulos stated that the nomination is "particularly honorable, but also a challenge for even more active contribution to the party in a special conjuncture."

The selection of M. Charakopoulos is reportedly a joint recommendation by Nikitas Kaklamanis and Notis Mitarakis.
