Manfred Weber: Turkey's Two-State Solution Pressure in Cyprus is Dangerous

The President of the European People's Party, Manfred Weber, stated that no European security architecture can be complete as long as Cyprus remains under foreign military occupation.

In an interview with the newspaper «Ο Φιλελεύθερος της Κυριακής», Weber described Turkey's divisive policy and pressure for a two-state solution as dangerous and unrealistic.

Manfred Weber supported the protection of the EU's external borders and the establishment of a common anti-missile defense system, as well as a real European defense union.
