Government spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis stated that the government respects the legitimate demands of farmers, as well as the citizens' request not to be inconvenienced by the protests.

Mr. Marinakis mentioned that the government is satisfying the vast majority of the farmers' requests without burdening the Greek taxpayer, but there are also some requests that cannot be met.

He also referred to the transfer of OPEKEPE to AADE, stressing that this reform is necessary for transparency and efficiency, and that without this change, Greece would not have received the 'green light' for farmer payments.

Regarding the mobilizations, Mr. Marinakis said that the government has already satisfied basic demands of the farmers, such as cheaper electricity and the return of the Special Consumption Tax for agricultural diesel.

Finally, he referred to the relations between Greece-Turkey and Greece-Israel, denying information about the formation of a rapid force between Greece and Israel.
