Marinakis: Criticism of Exploitation of Workplace Accidents

Government Spokesperson Pavlos Marinakis denounced the creation of a "grave robber movement" in Greece, which exploits tragic workplace accidents. He referred to announcements by the opposition that, according to him, are instrumentalizing such events.

Based on data from the Labor Inspectorate, Mr. Marinakis emphasized that the number of deaths in workplace accidents is significantly lower than that presented by some, specifically mentioning 48 deaths in 2025. "People should not swallow information from these swindlers without question," he stated.

Regarding Greek-Turkish relations, he commented that foreign policy cannot be conducted in terms of social media, while also referring to the Kefalogianni case and the changes in family law, emphasizing that discussions took place in Parliament and it is not a targeted provision.

Finally, he mentioned that the staffs of Mitsotakis and Erdogan are in discussions regarding the date of their meeting, with the aim of holding it within February.
