Marinakis: Government Priority is Tax Reduction

The Deputy Minister to the Prime Minister and government spokesperson, Pavlos Marinakis, stated that tax reduction is a key priority for the government. The aim is to reduce taxes annually by increasing state revenues.
Mr. Marinakis emphasized that the government must respond quickly to the challenges posed by the increased cost of living, seeking to deliver tangible results. He also mentioned the need to effectively communicate to the public the impact of government policies, such as tax reduction and the utilization of the Recovery Fund.
Regarding fake news, Mr. Marinakis highlighted his efforts to respond to false news spread by politicians and journalists, mainly through social media. He also referred to the toxicity in public discourse and the threats he received, especially during the anniversary of the Tempi train accident.
Answering questions about arrogance within the government, Mr. Marinakis defended Kyriakos Mitsotakis, emphasizing that his attitude and life are the opposite of arrogance. However, he admitted that there have been behaviors that have cost the government.
