Mitsotakis-Dendias: Disagreements over Amendment and Reactions to Tempi

Tension arose in the government following Nikos Dendias' divergence regarding the amendment for the Unknown Soldier. The amendment, initially announced by Kyriakos Mitsotakis, provoked reactions, and he was forced to personally support it in Parliament.

N. Dendias expressed disagreements, while K. Mitsotakis tried to downplay the impressions, emphasizing that the Minister of Defense had not expressed objections before the submission of the provision. At the same time, the Prime Minister linked the amendment to the Tempi case, causing reactions from the relatives of the victims.

K. Mitsotakis accused the relatives of the victims of Tempi of "political activism", arguing that they were instrumentalized by political groups. At the same time, fronts are increasing with leading political figures inside and outside ND, such as K. Karamanlis, Ant. Samaras and Ev. Venizelos.

Dora Bakoyannis, in contrast to the tensions, proposed a meeting of all former prime ministers on Greek-Turkish issues.
