Mitsotakis in Amorgos: Emphasis on marine parks and environmental protection

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis visited Amorgos, where he chaired a meeting on local issues, focusing on environmental protection, infrastructure upgrades, local economic development, and health.

Mr. Mitsotakis referred to the emblematic initiative "Amorgorama", as well as the creation of two new marine parks in the southern Ionian and the southern Cyclades, stressing that Greece is at the forefront of Europe for the protection of the marine environment. Issues such as spatial planning, off-plan construction, the completion of island interconnections with the central electricity grid, and the upgrading of health structures were also discussed.

The Mayor of Amorgos, Eleftherios Karaiskos, thanked the Prime Minister for his support of the islands and his response to the issues facing the Municipality.
