Michailidou: New Bill for Social Benefits and Lifetime Recognition for Families with Three Children

The Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, Domna Michailidou, announced the submission of a bill for social benefits next week. The bill includes measures for housing through social exchange and social rent.
Ms. Michailidou emphasized that the bill aims to support young couples and facilitate housing. Public properties will be utilized for social rent, offering lower prices to new families, single-parent families, or families with many children.
Furthermore, the minister referred to the lifetime recognition for families with three children, as is the case for families with many children. Also, for children with disabilities over 67%, the status of having three children will not be lost upon reaching adulthood.
Regarding the "My Home 2" program, Ms. Michailidou stated that there is a 60% absorption rate. Finally, she announced a new digital empowerment program for the elderly and people with disabilities.
