N. Tornaritis: Cyprus prioritizes stability and prosperity

MP Nikos Tornaritis participated in the meeting of the Standing Committee on Economy and Sustainable Development of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly in Bahrain. Mr. Tornaritis emphasized the importance of international cooperation for sustainable development and addressing climate change.

In his speech, Mr. Tornaritis highlighted Cyprus' role as a bridge between the EU and Asia. He also referred to the geopolitical challenges in the Eastern Mediterranean, stressing that stability, security, and prosperity are a priority for the Republic of Cyprus.

Mr. Tornaritis underlined the amendment to the Constitution of Cyprus, which strengthens environmental protection, guaranteeing citizens' right to a clean and sustainable environment.

Additionally, Mr. Tornaritis held talks with the heads of the delegations of India, Saudi Arabia, and Tajikistan, discussing the strengthening of cooperation.
