N. Christodoulides: Government's Goal is Cyprus Solution

The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, in an interview with "Phileleftheros", stated that all government actions aim at resolving the Cyprus issue.
He also referred to the strategy to upgrade the Republic of Cyprus and address challenges, as well as the stable alliance with Greece.
President Christodoulides stated that he will decide within 2027 whether to run for the 2028 presidential elections.
Regarding the Cyprus issue, he reiterated that political equality, as defined in UN resolutions, is non-negotiable, and also referred to discussions on the issue of governance.
Furthermore, he emphasized the importance of promoting the economic and geostrategic IMEC corridor through Cyprus, with emphasis on the GSI project, as well as the strategic importance of the Cyprus-Greece electricity interconnection.
He also referred to cooperation with the UAE on water and energy issues, as well as strengthening relations with countries such as France, Israel and India.
On domestic issues, President Christodoulides described his government as center-right, with a social liberal ideological framework.
