New Left and Course of Freedom Oppose Acquisition of 4th Belharra Frigate

New Left and Course of Freedom have expressed their opposition to the acquisition of a fourth Belharra frigate and the upgrade of existing ones, submitting a request for a roll-call vote.

The parliamentary representative of New Left, Nasos Iliopoulos, stated that he does not trust the government regarding arms programs, mentioning a potential 'Tsochatzopoulos party'.

From the side of Course of Freedom, Eleni Karageorgopoulou denounced the contract with the French company, claiming that there are additional costs for the Greek public.

The roll-call vote is scheduled for Friday at 10:00 AM. The parliamentary groups of ND, PASOK, SYRIZA and Greek Solution are expected to vote in favor of ratifying the agreement.
