New Democracy: 123,000 Registered for Internal Elections

Nearly 123,000 registrations have been recorded for the internal elections of New Democracy to be held on Sunday. The elections will determine the presidents and councils of DEEP and DIMTO throughout the country, as well as the delegates.
Over 7,200 candidates will compete for 3,500 party positions. Citizen participation was high, with 122,546 paying the annual subscription of 12 euros, gaining the right to vote.
The polls will open at 8 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. on Sunday. Electronic voting will also take place at the same hours. Members can vote at 1,200 polling stations set up in 233 locations across the country, or electronically.
More than half of the members belong to the 25-54 age group, while 42% are women. 48% are employed, 27% are merchants and freelancers, and 25% are retirees.
