Nikos Sykas: Categorically Denies Assault Allegation

Following the public intervention of Annita Demetriou, Nikos Sykas responded to his partner's allegation of assault. The DISY MP for Limassol categorically denies the allegation and states he is shocked by its leak to the media.

In his statement, Mr. Sykas mentions that he respects the investigative procedures and is ready to present the 'real facts'.

Nikos Sykas' statement: 'I am truly sorry that I am obliged to publicly comment on publications and comments that involve me in an allegation under investigation, and I wish to emphasize the following: I categorically deny the allegation, as well as the innuendoes that are left against me. I am shocked by the fact that the allegation was leaked to the media and social networks, and popular courts were set up, before any testimony was even evaluated and before I was called to give my own testimony about the events. Nevertheless, I declare that I fully respect the investigative procedures and, at any time, I am ready to present the real facts. Finally, I reserve all my legal rights.'
