President Christodoulides calls Pompeo a 'friend of Cyprus'

The President of the Republic met with the former United States Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo, on the sidelines of the annual Economist conference.

President Christodoulides referred to Mike Pompeo's contribution to strengthening Cypriot-American relations, calling him a 'friend of Cyprus'. He also noted that during their tenure, the declaration of intent between the two countries was signed, which formed the foundation for the close and strategic relationship between Cyprus and the United States.

The meeting took place within the framework of the annual Economist conference, at which Mike Pompeo was a guest speaker.
