The World's Most Powerful Passports for 2025 β Cyprus's Ranking

The Henley Passport Index has released its list of the most powerful passports for 2025, covering 199 passports and 227 destinations. The ranking is based on the destinations passport holders can travel to without a visa.
The top two spots in the Henley Passport Index are held by three Asian countries: Singapore in first place, and Japan and South Korea tied for second, allowing visa-free travel to 193 and 190 countries, respectively.
The Cypriot passport ranks 12th, up from 14th last year, providing access to 178 countries without a visa and 48 with a visa.
In 3rd place are seven European countries: Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, and Spain. In 4th place are passports from Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Sweden.
Greece, New Zealand, and Switzerland tie for 5th place. The Indian passport saw the largest global increase this year, climbing 8 places to 77th. Indian citizens can now travel to 59 countries without a visa.
