Social media posts implicate an ND official in Thessaly, Ms. Kalliopi Semertzidou, in the OPEKEPE scandal, alleging illegal subsidies to her partner exceeding €1 million. Ms. Semertzidou denies the accusations and threatens lawsuits.

Online posts link Ms. Semertzidou, coordinator of Community Resources and Women's Agricultural Entrepreneurship of ND in Epirus and the Ionian Islands, with photos of her with politicians such as Kyriakos Mitsotakis and Adonis Georgiadis, as well as a Ferrari and vacations abroad.

The claims connect Ms. Semertzidou's partner to two farmers from Thessaly who are being investigated for illegal subsidies of €1.7 million from OPEKEPE. in.gr reports that her partner is not one of these farmers but receives subsidies exceeding €100,000. The legality of these subsidies is under investigation.

Ms. Semertzidou and her partner also run a car rental company since February 2024. Ms. Semertzidou asserts that the Ferrari has been in her family since 2004 and is used for advertising purposes. She claims to have been repeatedly audited with no wrongdoing found.

In conclusion, Ms. Semertzidou's partner is not among the two farmers being investigated for illegal subsidies, but received over €100,000 in subsidies. The legality of these subsidies is being investigated by OPEKEPE and AADE.
