PASOK: Questions Regarding Maria Lada's Death at 'El. Venizelos' Airport

PASOK – Movement for Change expressed "outrage at the inadequacy of infrastructure" following the death of 67-year-old Maria Lada at 'Eleftherios Venizelos' Airport. The head of the Parliamentary Sector for People with Disabilities and Vulnerable Social Groups, Petros Pappas, stated that the issue will be immediately brought under parliamentary scrutiny.
Mr. Pappas emphasized the need to strengthen controls, institutional accountability, and compliance with safety standards. PASOK – KINAL calls for a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding Maria Lada's death, highlighting the lack of safety and accessibility conditions for people with disabilities at the country's largest airport.
The party raised a series of critical questions regarding equipment inspection, the existence of certificates of proper functioning, compliance with safe boarding and disembarkation protocols for people with disabilities, the adequacy of staff training, and the supervision of private service providers.
