Plevris: Support for Cyprus and risk of migration flows

The Minister of Migration and Asylum, Thanos Plevris, expressed Greece's full support for Cyprus, emphasizing that the country stands by its side and is an ally of the West.

Mr. Plevris stressed that a possible extension of the crisis in the Middle East may lead to increased migration flows to Europe.

Referring to the mission of the frigate "Kimono", he stated that it constitutes a practical application of the Unified Defense Doctrine.

In addition, the minister noted that asylum applications from Iranians will be examined with increased attention, due to the current geopolitical situation.
