POED: Responsibility for the Failure of the New Evaluation System

The President of POED, Myria Vasiliou, stated that the failure to implement the new teacher evaluation system will weigh on the majority of Parliament that voted for the relevant legal framework.

In a statement to CNA, Ms. Vasiliou mentioned that the legislation was passed without an agreement with those who will be called upon to implement it. She expressed satisfaction with the positions of MPs who supported POED's positions, confirming that the bill had gaps and ambiguities.

Ms. Vasiliou emphasized that POED will continue to support public schools and their staff, requesting support from the executive branch. POED's collective bodies will convene to decide on the next steps.
