POED Criticizes DISY-DIKO-DIPA Over Evaluation Bill

POED (Pancyprian Organisation of Greek Teachers) accuses the DISY, DIKO, and DIPA parties of exacerbating the crisis in education, ahead of the vote on the bill for the evaluation of teachers.
POED's General Secretary, Charis Charalambous, stated that the bill was unilaterally shaped by the DISY, DIKO, and DIPA parties in the Education Committee, without the agreement of the Ministry of Education.
POED argues that the changes introduced are worse than the Ministry's original proposal, removing the director's participation in the numerical evaluation and adding the role of the assistant director without consultation.
Charis Charalambous warned that if the bill is passed without changes, the DISY, DIKO, and DIPA parties will bear the responsibility for the disruption in education.
POED awaits the decisions of the Parliament, hoping that the positions of the teachers will be taken into account.
