President Christodoulides: "I will never allow the state to become a hostage of problematic contracts"

The President of the Republic of Cyprus, Nikos Christodoulides, stated that he will never allow the state to become a "hostage of problematic contracts and opaque procedures." The statement was made during the inauguration ceremony of development projects in the Municipality of Polis Chrysochous.

The President emphasized that the government has the political will to improve or terminate problematic contracts, while ensuring the rights of the Republic of Cyprus. He also referred to the construction of the Paphos-Polis Chrysochous highway, stressing that the government views it as a catalyst for the region's development.

Furthermore, Nikos Christodoulides announced the political decision to create a new, modern hospital in Polis Chrysochous, on the site of the old military camp. Preparatory actions have already begun.

The inaugurated projects include the Sea and Culture Multipurpose Center, the Reptile and Amphibian Exhibition Center in Neo Chorio, and the Renovation of the open space in front of the Town Hall, with a total value of 4.5 million euros.
