Concern over Erhürman's stance, communication breakdown with Christodoulides

The rhetoric of Turkish Cypriot leader Tufan Erhürman, following his election, is causing concern on the Greek Cypriot side, as he does not mention a federation. The President of the Republic, Nikos Christodoulides, stated that he is waiting to see Erhürman's behavior at the negotiating table.
According to President Christodoulides, there is difficulty in communicating with Erhürman. As he mentioned, an attempt was made to communicate, but there was no response.
The President is awaiting the arrival of María Ángela Holguín, to see what Erhürman will tell her. The new Turkish Cypriot leader is expected to visit Ankara on his first customary visit abroad.
