President: Exercise in Daily Life Promotes Citizens' Quality of Life

The President of the Republic emphasized that integrating exercise into daily life promotes the quality of life of citizens. The statement was made at an event marking 40 years of a sports program, where he praised the long-term support of the State and OPAP.
The President mentioned that the program, started in 1985 by the then President of KOA, Kyriakos Neokleous, aims to make mass sports a right for every citizen. Today, there are 500 sports centers with 1,500 programs and 21,000 participants.
He stressed that exercise is a national priority and a cornerstone for public health. He also referred to his personal love for sports and the importance of exercise in his daily life.
