Savvides: Lawyers to be wary of false publications

The Attorney General of the Republic and President of the Legal Council, Giorgos L. Savvides, called on new lawyers to be wary of misinformation and fake news circulating on social media. The statement was made during the presentation of newly registered lawyers to the Supreme Court.

Mr. Savvides stressed the importance of safeguarding the Rule of Law and urged new lawyers not to be influenced by selectively presented “supposedly grim situations.”

“Don’t be influenced by what you hear. Keep your distance and judge with a clear mind,” he said.
