Skertsos: Konstantopoulou Attacked My Wife

Minister of State Akis Skertsos publicly denounced Zoe Konstantopoulou for a "crude and unjustified attack" against his wife during the preliminary inquiry committee. Mr. Skertsos claimed that Ms. Konstantopoulou recycled slanders that had already been retracted by the newspaper "Avgi" with a public apology before the criminal court.
In his post, Mr. Skertsos described Ms. Konstantopoulou as "ruthless" and "deeply cynical," arguing that she challenges the essence of democracy and erodes public life. He also accused her of instrumentalizing institutional procedures to spread toxic political rhetoric and falsehoods.
Mr. Skertsos also referred to previous choices of Ms. Konstantopoulou, such as the appointment of her husband as a Member of Parliament without popular legitimacy and the proposal of her father as President of the Republic.
The incident took place at the close of the committee's work, with Ms. Konstantopoulou launching accusations against her political opponents, their families, wives, and parents.
Mr. Lazaridis, rapporteur of ND, stated that ND MPs are considering filing a lawsuit against Ms. Konstantopoulou, while she replied that for every lawsuit she receives, she will file three lawsuits against the Prime Minister.
