Health Minister Michalis Damianos Attends EU Summit in Copenhagen

Health Minister Michalis Damianos has departed for Copenhagen to represent Cyprus at the Informal Meeting of EU Health Ministers on September 16, 2025.

According to the Ministry of Health, the summit will focus on strategic issues for the European Health Union, including progress in life sciences and clinical trials, as well as strengthening preparedness and security in the pharmaceutical product supply chain.

On the sidelines of the Meeting, Minister Damianos will hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts from Belgium and Switzerland, as well as with the Director of the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). He is expected to return to Cyprus on Wednesday, September 17.
