Stylianides: Anastasiades Orchestrated My Destruction

Christos Stylianides, a member of the Hellenic Parliament, accused former President of Cyprus, Nicos Anastasiades, of orchestrating an attempt to morally and politically destroy him. The accusations concern claims that Stylianides conveyed Turkey's views in Brussels regarding the collapse of negotiations in Crans Montana.
Andreas Mavroyiannis confirmed Anastasiades' description, clarifying that he conveyed the story to Anastasiades this year. Stylianides responded that some are trying to put words in his mouth that he never said and asked for the minutes of the discussion in the College of Commissioners after Crans Montana to be released.
Stylianides stated that he has not spoken publicly for reasons of national responsibility but will decide what is best for the survival of Hellenism in Cyprus if provoked further. The EU participated in the Cyprus Conference as an observer, with Federica Mogherini attending Crans Montana.
