Christos Stylianides responds to Nicos Anastasiades regarding statements about a disagreement with Federica Mogherini at Crans Montana.

In a written statement, the former European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management, Christos Stylianides, refers to an "indecent personal attack" by the former President of the Republic, Nicos Anastasiades. Mr. Stylianides claims that Mr. Anastasiades presented a scenario of disagreement with the former High Representative of the EU, Federica Mogherini, at the College of Commissioners, regarding the results of Crans Montana, "falsely claiming that I supposedly adopted Turkish positions."

Mr. Stylianides adds that Mr. Mavroyiannis was forced to return with a new statement and refute Mr. Anastasiades. "There was absolutely no disagreement between me and Mrs. Mogherini," Mr. Stylianides emphasizes, adding that Mr. Mavroyiannis also confirms that Mr. Anastasiades lied by confusing dates and events.

Mr. Stylianides concludes that Mr. Anastasiades' goal is to disclaim his responsibilities in the Cyprus problem and for corruption.
