52-Year-Old Arrested for Threatening Adonis Georgiadis

The Hellenic Police (ELAS) announced the arrest of a 52-year-old man from Imathia, who allegedly threatened the Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, online.

According to the announcement, a case file was formed against the 52-year-old for incitement to commit crimes, threat, and repeated insult, via the internet, against a political figure.

The arrest was carried out by police officers of the Naoussa Crime Prosecution and Investigation Department, following a complaint filed by Mr. Georgiadis. The Cybercrime Prosecution Directorate identified the 52-year-old as the administrator of a social media account that published threatening and abusive content.

The arrested man was led to the competent Authority.
