Meeting Held Regarding Problems with Cyprus' GeSY Software

A meeting was held yesterday under the Minister of Health regarding the problems observed in the GeSY software.
According to Marios Tziakouris, head of the IT department of the HIO, the Minister of Health demanded a solution to the problem from the contractor company during the meeting.
The company informed that the problem has been identified and a software upgrade is expected early next week. Interim solutions are being implemented to improve system functionality.
Ploutarchos Georgiadis, president of the Pharmaceutical Association, stated that the state should have an alternative plan to address system problems in order to avoid patient inconvenience.
