At a General Assembly of pensioners in Anthoupolis, participants voiced concerns about the "lack of government sensitivity" regarding the problems they face.

According to a statement by EKYSY, the issues discussed included high prices, low pensions, the 12% penalty, increased cost of medicines, and arbitrary practices by insurance companies.

The General Secretary of EKYSY, Kostas Skarparis, and the Provincial Secretary of PEO Nicosia, Eftychios Papamichail, spoke during the assembly.

It was also noted that refugee pensioners continue their struggle for a fair solution to the Cyprus problem and for a decent living.
