Tatar: "Peace and Security in Cyprus for 51 Years"

Turkish Cypriot leader, Ersin Tatar, claimed that there has been peace and security in Cyprus for the last 51 years. The statements were made during a "TMT fighters" ceremony on the occasion of "social resistance day."

Mr. Tatar stated that it is not in anyone's interest to disrupt this environment, referring to the need for common sense for a prosperous future for both communities.

He argued that the two-state policy is full of gold and described the presence of Turkish soldiers on the island as a "red line" for the safety of Turkish Cypriots.
