Tatar Distributes Badges and Hats Ahead of Pseudo-Elections

In the occupied territories, nominations are being submitted today for the upcoming “presidential elections.” The T/C leader, Ersin Tatar, will be the first to submit his nomination to the “supreme election council,” followed by the leader of RTK, Tufan Erhürman.

Tatar plans to distribute items bearing his name to his supporters. The announcement of the “official list” of candidates will be made on September 22. Ersin Tatar will lay a wreath at the Atatürk monument and will be accompanied by a procession to the “supreme election council” in Nicosia.

Erhürman will meet with party members at the RTK headquarters in Nicosia before proceeding to the “supreme council.”

Serdar Denktaş announced his personal support for Tufan Erhürman, a candidate for the “presidential elections” on October 19. He stated that the members of the “Social Justice and Struggle” party will make their own decisions.

Denktaş stated that his support for Erhürman is based on logic, as the latter “will not clash with Turkey, but will not say ‘yes’ to everything, and will offer a good environment for consultation.”

Characterizing his party as centrist, Serdar Denktaş emphasized the need for new approaches that comply with the law and are within the parameters of the UN.
