Tatar Agrees to Tripartite Meeting, Accuses President Christodoulides of Negative Stance

Ersin Tatar stated that he will meet with the UN Secretary-General in New York on September 26 and will participate in the tripartite meeting with the Secretary-General and President Christodoulides on September 27. Following a meeting with the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General, Maria Angela Holguin, Tatar accused President Christodoulides of a 'persistently negative stance' at the informal five-party meeting in New York.
Tatar also raised issues regarding the conditions in the Central Prisons of the Republic, claiming that 'citizens' of the pseudo-state face difficulties. He also referred to the visit of British MP Afzal Khan to the occupied territories and his resignation following reactions.
Regarding the roadblocks, Tatar argued that his proposal to open crossing points in Mia Milia and Louroutzina remains in effect but has not been implemented due to the stance of the Greek Cypriot side. He also raised the issue of children from mixed marriages, emphasizing the need for equal treatment.
