EOKA Fighters Honor Outgoing Greek Ambassador

Organized groups of EOKA fighters hosted a farewell lunch for the outgoing Greek Ambassador to Cyprus on Tuesday.

They awarded him the Silver Medal of the heroes of the EOKA Liberation Struggle as a mark of honor.

According to a statement by the EOKA Historical Memory Council, Mr. Papameletiou offered valuable services in preserving the memory of the EOKA Struggle, emphasizing the relations between Cyprus and Greece.

They wished him success in his new duties.
