TC Journalists' Association Proposes Mutual Information System as Confidence Building Measure

The TC Journalists' Association proposes creating a digital environment for simultaneous monitoring and translation of channels in Greek and Turkish as a Confidence Building Measure (CBM), following the fires in Limassol and Paphos.

In a statement, the association said that the fire disaster highlighted the lack of mutual understanding. It emphasizes the need for immediate negotiations for a multiple digital platform that will allow simultaneous monitoring of Greek broadcasts with Turkish translation and Turkish broadcasts with Greek translation.

The association emphasizes that this will contribute to a better understanding between the two sides and will promote rapprochement.
