Turkish Cypriot Entity Responds to RoC NOTAM with Counter-NOTAM

The 'transport ministry' of the Turkish Cypriot entity claims to have issued a 'NOTAM' in response to NOTAM A0345/26 of the Republic of Cyprus, under the pretext that it 'falls within the airspace of Ercan'.

According to reports in the occupied territories, the 'ministry' claims that the RoC's NOTAM concerns a large maritime area covering the south and east of the island, related to potential military activities.

The 'ministry' also asserts that 'TRNC is the only authorized authority to provide air traffic services and aviation information in its own airspace' and that the RoC's NOTAM is 'null and void'.
