Tusk on Orbán Absence: 'No Russians in the Room' – Comment from Cyprus

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, attending the informal European Council in Nicosia, commented on the absence of outgoing Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán.

In a post on X, Tusk wrote: 'European Council meeting. For the first time in years there are no Russians in the room. Huge relief.'

Viktor Orbán did not participate in the Council, citing the transitional situation in Hungary following his defeat in the recent parliamentary elections.
