Vafeadis: Government Committed to Resuming Talks

The Minister of Transport, Alexis Vafeadis, stated in Pomos, Paphos District, that the Government remains committed to resuming substantive negotiations on the Cyprus issue, based on the agreed framework of the United Nations and the principles of the European Union.

Speaking at the Pomos Fallen Memorial Service, Mr. Vafeadis mentioned that, on the initiative of the President, the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General has been appointed. He also emphasized that efforts are continuing at the diplomatic and European levels to create the conditions for a credible negotiating process.
