The Plenary of the Parliament convenes on Thursday, April 23, with an agenda including three law referrals, a bill to harmonize with the EU Pact on Migration and Asylum, and regulations for parliamentary staff. The session takes place one month before the parliamentary elections.

The referrals concern the law on Renewable Energy Sources and the law on Elementary Education. The refugee bill aims to harmonize with the European pact before its entry into force in June 2026.

The Deputy Minister of Migration, Νικόλας Ιωαννίδης, stated that the bill provides for stricter border controls and faster asylum procedures.

In addition, proposals for amendments to the law on Parliamentary Staff will be examined, with proposals from Αννίτα Δημητρίου, Δημήτρη Δημητρίου, Χαράλαμπος Θεοπέμπτου, the DIKO MPs, Αλέκος Τρυφωνίδης, independent Ανδρέα Θεμιστοκλέους, and independent Αλεξάνδρα Ατταλίδου.
